Who We Are

The Acoaxet Free Chapel is a non-denomination (or multi-denominational) gathering of Christians seeking a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ as led by the Holy Spirit through worship, prayer, study and fellowship.

Mission Statement

It is our mission to live, worship, witness and serve in the love and grace of God so that all may come to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God; and living with Him in the fellowship of God's people, all may experience abundant and eternal life.

Statement of Faith

We believe in God (Ephesians 4:6)
Revealed to us in Jesus the Christ (Hebrews 1:2)
Through the work of God's Holy Spirit (John 16:13-14)
We are seekers of the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)
that we have found Jesus, the Living Word of God, who was, is and always will be God (John 1:1)
and Who, from the beginning, called all things into creation (John1:2-3)
and Who, throughout history, (Revelation 1:8)
is shared as the Law handed down to God's people (Isaiah 33:22)
to reveal the Way that leads to life (Psalm 16:11)
Spoken through the prophets (Isaiah 42:1-7)
inscribing the Truth on our hearts (Ezekiel 36:24-26)
Incarnate (made flesh) (John 1:14)
to dwell among us as the Light of the World (John 1:4)
Crucified and buried (Matthew 27)
for the forgiveness of sins so that we might receive salvation (Romans 5:6-11)
Resurrected in body and spirit (John 20)
to invite us into eternal life (Romans 6)
Coming again as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16)
to bring all things to their rightful conclusions. (Ephesians 1:9-10)

We are called to respond, receive and affirm God's work in our lives, (Romans 10:12-13)
walk in God's Spirit each moment of our lives, (Galatians 5:16, 24-25)
engage in the fellowship of God's people (Acts 2:42-44)
and exercise the gifts of God's Spirit in the living of our lives (Galatians 5:22-23)
so that we may be witnesses, (Acts 1:8)
vessels, (Acts 1:5)
and servants (John 13:12-17
of God's Love and Grace (2 Corinthians 8:7)
